 mkdir <my_dir>       # at your first login only                   

 cd <my_dir>          # always work in your own personal directory 
                      # do NOT change files in $HOME !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
 cp -r ~/examples .   # copy examples folder to to your personal directory
